In the Russian Orthodox tradition they have a cake called paska where the hard boiled egg is right in the cake.

Yes! I had forgotten. [I'm ashamed]

Can't find the image ...but symbolic of fertility they are baked with eggs and then holes are poked in the loaf to hold flower stems for weddings.... usually wild flowers. They are beautiful!
