I am not surprised at all...it fits right in with the persona he created with his chopper business.
Look at those bikes, his tattoos, etc. There are a lot of Nazi references in the biker world's style: Maltese Cross, Pith helmets, etc. etc.
It doesn't make him a white supremacist but it is a wonderful lesson in how appearances can condemn.
This will be a good episode to save to respond to the next tattoo or piercing discussion with a teenager in your family.

My friend collects this stuff as a way to make money. He buys things he thinks he can turn a profit on and sells them within a few years. He bought a lot of the stuff from WWII veterans or their family members.

Wow this comes as a big surprise. The corporate logo for his company is an Iron Cross. Who would have guessed he might have German war trophies hanging around the house. /sarc

I guess my time-life dvds on Nazi Germany make me a fascist.
Oh well.

I so hope you’re wrong.
I really don’t think Sandra Bullock is closet nazi.
I speak (ein bisschen) Deutsch and read it fairly well, but I’m not of German origin. (Polish, English and Dutch)

I have a poster of Saddam given to me by a Marine who was in the first wave of the invasion and a Nazi Flag given to me by my Grandpa, who brought it back from fighting the Nazis in WWII. My dad got the good stuff - Luger and a SS sword. I guess we’re Baathist Nazis - even though the folks who gave us this tuff killed some of those bastards..

I’m surprised they didn’t label him a tea partier. That probably would have been the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Me too! And my father-in-law still eats every meal with a plate, knife and fork with the old German battle flag emblem on them. But don’t ever make the mistake of calling him a Nazi, he also has a US army issue M1911.

Wow, considering who she portrayed in The Blind-Side and who she married if this is true I just wonder what Leigh Anne Tuohy would be thinking right now.
To: Ramius
just having a collection of nazi memorabilia doesnt make somebody a white supremacist A surfboard with an image of Hitler is not "memorabilia." Memorabilia would be WW2 artifacts such as you would find at a gun show. James has gone over the line.

Since some of you seem to think that the purpose of this post is to claim that those who collect Nazi war memorabilia makes one a Nazi sympathizer, I should clarify that is not the case. A surfboard with Hitler on it is not Nazi war memorabilia. Also, it's not wise to strike a heil Hitler pose for cameras, or ever, for that matter. Oh, and let's remember the 1st girl he cheated on Sandra Bullock with:

ROTFL!!! That makes two of us. I was in Germany when the wall came down. Bought some Nazi stuff and lots of hammer and sickle Russian stuff. Got me one of those cool Red Heat furry hats with the Soviet insignia on it. Its an Army guy thing. Oh yeah, not only am I a Nazi and a Commie, Ive got an Iraqi bayonet. I guess that makes me a full fledged Islamofascist terrorist. LOL!!! Yikes! Even I didnt know this about myself until now. There's a world of difference between historical artifacts and a painting of Hitler on a surf board.
Do either of you collectors practice the NAZI salute while shouting "Zeig Heil?" Jesse does.

Owning Nazi memorabilia doesn't necessarily make you a Nazi.
If it's stuff your dad or grandad picked up in the war, it's more a reminder of them than of Mr. Funny Moustache or Aryan purity.
But if you own enough Nazi stuff people will start to wonder about you.
It's also curious that so many people think that Communist-Stalinist memorabilia is somehow cute or funky.
Finally, FWIW, Sandra spent time growing up in Nuremberg, where her opera singer mother came from. No kidding.
And according to Wikipedia her grandfather was a German rocket scientist. I'm not kidding about that either (though I wonder if they are).

And we're supposed to believe Miss Sandy didn't know a thing about her husband's taste in Nazi memorabilia.
How dumb does she think the audience is?
