Families of those killed on United Airlines Flight 93 on Sept. 11, 2001, are asking Congress to continue its support for a national memorial at the crash site in southwestern Pennsylvania.
The group Families of Flight 93 planned to tell a House Appropriations panel today that more money and other support is needed so the memorial's first phase can open on the 10th anniversary of the terrorist hijacking and crash.

A memorial to the heroes of Flight 93 doesn’t need to be a multi-billion dollar undertaking. A simple memorial, with plenty of parking and decent access roads is all that is required.
Too many families getting involved in spending American taxpayer money. Not quite the “Jersey Girls”, but it’s bound to get there.
I just wonder if it is still to look like a memorial to the hijackers.

Yes, we needed a WWII memorial, but not the monstrosity that’s there now. If you need to ussue a pamphlet to understand the symbolism behind each column, each star and each tile, you’ve overthought the concept.
