Not all southern people owned slaves and not all northern people were against slavery. The liberals have made the war about slavery when it wasn’t. It justt isn’t meant for one man to own another and if left alone, slavery would have collapsed of its own weight.

You realize the North had slavery at the time, too, right? The Emancipation Proclamation only freed slaves of the southern states the north had control over.

The Confederate States of America would have abolished slavery, even in the "Deep South" cotton and tobacco states. The practice was already dying of "natural causes" in 1860; mechanized agriculture is the doom of slavery.
