Why do they call it “Black History Month?”

No...I don’t. But I do live in a Democratic minority run cesspool of racial disharmony...aka Memphis. My child is a white minority in her school. ;) The teachers (one black and one white) wouldn’t allow the students to write about the “same old Black History month characters” eg MLK, Jr. Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, etc. They wanted the students to write about individuals that don’t always get attention. I thought that was a great idea, personally.

There are many great black musicians who have made wonderful contributions to the music community through jazz and blues.
Rodman once averaged 18 rebounds a game. Thats an absurd number in this day and age especially for a 6’8 skinny guy. I admire him for that and think it a historic accomplishment.
I think the teachers that you are most likely to hear about are the ones with horrific or criminal judgement. The vast majority I came across while my kids were growing up were good people with solid judgement.
