Well, I had my knee surgery. Still in the hospital though. At least until tomorrow afternoon, maybe Saturday afternoon.
Right, with the total knee replacement is stiff, but not as much as I’d feared it would be. The Drugs are great! :)
However when the doc got into the left one, with the ‘scope, he found the tear in the meniscus was so bad as to be unrepairable. So, he trimmed off the big flap, and closed it up. I’ll be back for another replacement in 2-4 weeks, depending on how well I recover. PT Folks, nurse and the doc say it’s looking really good, and I’m doing well with the rehab So it might be just two weeks.
Pretty much time to shut down. Besides I’m getting tired of sitting in this chair, where I’ve spent most of the day. All three meals, and the rest of the time when I wasn’t up on the walker or taking a nap (or trying to, I’m sure y’ll know how hospitals are. :) Still I did get a couple of hours of nap. That just made up for all the time I was awake during the night.
Hopefully I can be on FR more tomorrow, since wife didn’t bring the laptop until about 7PM
I’m not supposed to get up, even out the chair, without someone present, and my wife went home about 1/2 hour ago, so I’ll have wait for the nurse or the assistant.
