I just watched the movie "The Widow's Might" with my family and I wanted to give it a recommendation. We rented it from Netflix. It was a made by a group of homeschooling families for a film festival.
From the Netflix cover "Outraged that exorbitant property taxes may drive widow Grace Jackson from her home, young moviemakers John and Cameron set out to win a major film festival by making a musical Western that draws attention to her plight. An adventure comedy rooted in the teaching of Jesus Christ....
The movie was well done with beautiful music and great cinematography. Of course it didn't have A list actors in it but they did a wonderful job. It was a very endearing story and full of innocence and outrage at evil. It also took some great jabs at biased media and government corruption. Gotta love that!
Of interest to homeschoolers.
Oops forgot apostrophe after the end of the Netflix review.
The last paragraph is my opinion.
Lol! Not apostrophe, quotation marks. I think I need some sleep. Our three year old is having MAJOR sleep issues.
It comes out tomorrow.
Thanks alot. The opening music will give me nightmares! :)
Ping...
We will add it to the queue. Thanks!!
Sounds interesting . . . thanks!
Thank you. I will take a look at it.
Blessings,
Right there with you, sister. Our 3yo has developed an internal alarm clock that goes off at 2am and 4am. I heard a little voice at 4:15 this morning..."Can you read this book to me, Mama?"
I'm definately going to check this movie out. Thank for the review.
Thanks! Always appreciate safe movie recommendations!
Yeah what is that about? My 3 year old was up at 4AM feeding the cat.
I don’t know, it must be just a “thing” - when my daughter was 3 she would come in and just stand by the bed, not say a word. I would open my eyes and there she would be, scaring me, haha. I would put her back to bed and the next night, same thing. Or if I were fortunate, I would wake up to find her curled up on the floor asleep. It stopped after a while.
It’s not the waking up that I mind, it’s the staying awake. We started putting up a baby gate so she wouldn’t go downstairs in the middle of the night. She used to wake up and come get in bed with us but now she gets up and starts her day. Lol!
