I know there are a number of FReepers who watch The Dog Whisperer......
Cesar Millan's pit bull, Daddy, has died. He was 16.

Very special dog. I love his new one Junior too but there will never be another Daddy. Luigi is pretty special too.

Cesar Millan's pit bull, Daddy, has died. He was 16.
My sympathies to Millan, losing a pet can be almost as difficult as losing a family member. And I'd bet his pit bull was well-behaved and never bothered anyone.

RIP, Daddy! A great ambassador for pit bulls from what I understand. Sad that so many haters will feel compelled to post nastiness at his passing.

In the right hands an AmStaff or APBT can be a splendid dog.
They are not a dog for everyone, but neither is a Jack Russell or my middle Lab - the high octane field dog. She is Marley Cubed - and On Steroids. Without the extremely tight discipline and strenuous physical exercise of field work, she would be a nightmare. And those huge jaws made for holding Canada geese would wreak havoc.
Not every dog breed is for everyone. Obvious Daddy was in good hands and was a good dog. Sleep well, Daddy.

I guess I expected people who were familiar with the show and Daddy to express some sorrow or sadness and sympathy for Cesar.

Here he is.
Very distinguished looking, in spite of the white hair. He is a great example of a pitbull taken from a less than optimal home and turned into an amazing pet with the right care. I hope my dog is lucky enough to get to sixteen!

Daddy's original owner was some rapper whose name I forget.
