I have read on other forums that beard man is locally known as “Vietnam Tom” is a former Marine, and is somewhat well known for not taking crap from anyone — including cops.
It he is 67 now, he would have been in his 20s when Vietnam was really bad. No doubt the man has issues. Possibly flashbacks, who knows?

The scary thing is that, after the Bearded Guy disengages and moves to the front of the bus the punk follows him (repeated) and then throws the first blow ... and the person with the camcorder comments that she has it all on tape and he (THE PUNK) can file charges.
