Meanwhile, a senior Hamas source told the pan-Arab Al-Hayat newspaper that two Palestinians arrested in Jordan and deported to Dubai on suspicion of aiding the assassins were members of Palestinian Authority security forces.
According to some reports, one of the Palestinian suspects has confessed to his role in the killing.
Al-Hayat named Anwar S., a PA intelligence officer, and Ahmed H., a PA security officer, as the suspects. Other reports later named the men as Anwar Shahaibar and Ahmed Hassnein.......

Nahro Massoud, a Hamas official who was released from an Egyptian prison in 2007 to the chagrin of the Palestinian Authority, wasarrested in Syria in connection with the assassination of fellow Hamas terror chief Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, the British Guardian newspaper reported overnight Wednesday.
According to the report, Palestinian sources confirmed that Massoud was being detained and questioned in Syria.
Allegations of his arrest and detention have been denied by Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal, the paper added. He was quoted in the report assaying, "It is not correct at all."
The PA in past years accused Massoud of being behind the assassinationof Col. Muhammad al-Musat, commander of the PA's Military IntelligenceForce in the northern Gaza Strip.
Massoud was also wanted by.....
