I couldn’t tell you who exactly but I would think ‘the’y wouldn’t trust this kind of thing to just any ‘loyalist’ who might have already cracked and spilled the beans by now.

However, the volume of new astroturfers, three sometimes on one opinion page; and the timing; reek of a coordinated effort to me.

Anyone else get that same vibe?

If all of these letters were e-mailed, then I figure this wouldn’t be too difficult to pull off for a single person. Just send out the same letter over and over to different addresses, altering only your hometown.

Heck, I’ve sent off pro-candidate letters to many different newspapers, and even used completely different content (and my real residence!), and it didn’t take entirely too long.
