As near as I can tell, the last time there were Republicans in Massachusetts more conservative than Brown was in 1920, with Governor Calvin Coolidge and Senator Henry Cabot Lodge, Sr. So Brown is the best man in 90 years — no small achievement.
Hannity had a bunch of Mass voters on last night.
My impression was that many Mass voters had always voted Dem because they were Dems and had never really considered the issues.
Mass is still an extremely liberal state and is hardly the Mass of 200 years ago as has been suggested.
