Now just think about it. Are you, or anyone else here, actually suggesting that Brown should have used the occasion of his victory speech to thank media pundits????

Get real, people. Good Lord......

No but thanking people “all across the country who have helped with their money and efforts,” would have been a nice touuch. So also just a mention of the Constitution would have been the bow to the Tea Party. Overall, I’d give the speech an “A.” With a little embellishment, an “A+.”

Yes, what you said. I always felt like Newt Gingrich’s first mistake was to make Rush Limbaugh the face of the party’s victory — even if it was technically accurate, the party is not a media pundit.

You are not kidding. How politically unsavvy are these people? First and foremost, he thanked THE PEOPLE and that was the right thing to do (political pundits like Rush, Sean and Mark are part of The People too. Nothing more or less - or at least they shouldn’t be). Secondly, he thanked Romney and his team who backed him from the start and provided wise guidance. Why he insisted on thanking McCain, not sure. I am sure there is more happening behind the scenes than we know.
