That was my first thought...lazy gringo reporter. The Chupacabra always made camping in the Hill Country a lot more fun, although the real monster to fear was the raccoon.

Bare necessities include a good scatter-gun, a good handgun, and a good rifle just in case. My recommendations: Mossberg pump action 12-ga with short barrel and pistol grip; S&W .357 revolver; Winchester Model 1894 .30-30 and you should be prepared for any contingency.
