I don’t know enough about networking to know When I’ve screwed something up.

I suspect that when I disconnected the XP 32BIT computer that was the wired access point and connected the windoze seven up to become the access point .. I screwed something up.

My Vista is on an adapter and That is the one that was giving me the problem.

Wireless networking can be really easy, or a big PITA. One small thing can prevent you from success.

If you ditch the Network Magic and have to do it on your own, I would suggest checking out a forum for the brand adapter you have. I run a Netgear router and wireless adapter, and have fixed any of my problems by posting on their forum.

If it’s a Windows issue, I believe Microsoft has a similar forum for their software and OS’s.
