Don’t care. Always liked Mark McGuire. Glad he got if off his chest.

Even when he was breaking Maris record and I was (and still am) a fan of his I believed he was juicing. I hope his sense of shame is genuine and I hope that after the initial fallout from his confession he can move forward.

Years ago McGwire admitted to using androstenedione, a steroid which is readily converted into testosterone:

In 1998, after an article by Associated Press writer Steve Wilstein, McGwire admitted to taking androstenedione, an over-the-counter muscle enhancement product that had already been banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency, the NFL and the IOC. At the time, however, use of the substance was not prohibited by Major League Baseball and it was not federally classified as an anabolic steroid in the United States until 2004.[15]

NOW he comes clean? Because he wants to get a job working in the league? Screw that.

He’s a POS. Him, Sosa, Bonds, all the other juicers.

I think Maris’ record was 61, not 62.
