So at the trial the murdering boyfriend could argue that he is only partially guilty because this girl was “too stupid” to leave him. Why should he be held responsible for this girls poor judgement and choice?
“Your Honor this girl had every opportunity to flee the situation and change her circumstances. Instead she stayed knowing her danger. Why is that my fault? If she did the right thing, the smart thing, the responsible thing, she would have not been around me to be murdered. You see judge she really committed suicide. This time, however, instead of a bottle of pills or hanging herself, she committed suicide by ME. A bottle of pills. A length of rope. Have they ever been charged with a crime? Why should I be? It’s not really my fault at all.”
