No bull. A friend is an EMT and if he is pricked by a needle he has to be tested.
I say bull due to the fact that it was a sewing needle. HIV does not live outside the body if I recall correctly. Perhaps seconds...
That very thing happened to my brother who was an orderly in an ER. Several years ago, and AIDS patient was rushed into the ER and was seizing, freaking out, something like that. After giving an injection to calm him down, the patient picked up the syringe and stabbed my brother’s arm, as well as another nurse. Both had to be tested every six months months for two years. My brother insisted on extending it to three years. Thank God he is ok. He left that job and is now an x-ray tech.
That is a hypo needle, and when stuck it is very very rare to test positive. The story is BS on all levels.
