only way I have ever been able to get mine quiet was when she had 4 wisdom teeth yanked several years ago.
Lasted all of two days then back to normal.
I still remember those two days fondly.

I bought mine a new riding lawnmower, weed eater, and leaf blower for her birthday which have kept her outside most of the summer and fall, but winter is coming up...
