Espn's commentators tell politicians to govern and worry about our troops, the economy, etc and stay the heck out of football...
Bread and circuses.
I’d agree, if NFL’s anti-trust exemption were revoked.
There is no anti-trust exemption for the NFL...only Major League Baseball.
The NFL doesn’t need an antitrust exemption. They don’t have a monopoly on the business of putting on football exhibitions. Anyone can theoretically start their own league and offer contracts to NFL players. Of course there are economic impediments to this but there’s no legal restraint.
Correct. You may remember that the USFL sued the NFL for an anti-trust violation. The USFL won and was awarded $3 ($1 damages trebled).
Funny video - May and Holz agree on something, LOL.
Removing this Anti-Trust fiction would be more of a PR problem than a legal one. Helps maintain the illusion that the Vikings and Packers are competitors, when in fact they are partners in a business.
Hopefully a drop in NFL viewership and sales...
