Somehow, a son of a diplomat who went to Harvard doesn’t strike me as one who will join the fight, so I guess we’ll do it without you. You can write about us, though.

So long as he portrays us accurately, I'll consider that enough. He's put himself and his family in as much danger as those who do "join the fight".

I too fear for our country as I see the US Constitution being gutted by Obama. He is about to sign over US sovereignty in a climate bill. He has assaulted free speech by gagging insurance companies from telling the truth about Obamacare and maintaining a White House snitch list. He has sought to control the press and other media. He has ruined the economy with crippling debt. All of this has happened in less than a year into his first term. I shudder to think how things will look in 2012. We could well be living in a socialist police state.

You are quite right, sonic. I’m just waiting for the flash point, as getting something going is a complicated issue. It’s just incredible that real Americans, law-abiding Americans who have done the right thing throughout their lives are pushed to the point where we will have to go outside the “law” to save this place. But we have to come to grips with this, because our enemies have heretofore used our trusting, lawful and civil nature against us. That day is over, and we need to act. I for one am very ready and I’m ready to give all.

If a major change does not start in the next election... Don’t look for it. The TWO PARTIES are one. The Third party would (is) outlawed.

Great article! But I think someone over at AARP slipped up and allowed this article to be published. Someone forgot to take their meds.

I though the same thing. How long til this gets pulled?

“Something of historic proportions is happening. I can sense it because I know how it feels, smells, what it looks like, and how people react to it. Yes, a perfect storm may be brewing, but there is something happening within our country that has been evolving for about ten to fifteen years. The pace has dramatically quickened in the past two. “

Everyone feels it. No one knows what is going on, but everyone I know feels this undercurrent of something HUGE.

Waiting for a flash point is like waiting for NK or Iran to comply with inspections. The longer the fedgov avoids one, the farther down the socialist path they take us. People must, at some point, consider what if a flashpoint never comes? Would you consider to sit on the sides, continuing to lose freedoms and property, indefinitely? What if healthcare and climate change pass? People need to draw their line in the sand and not keep moving it back while hoping for some uniting flash point.

This isn’t directed at you but rather is a general statement to all who seem to be idly sitting by, waiting for some sign. The men at Lexington weren’t sitting at home waiting for a flash point. I don’t think Jefferson, Hamilton or Madison were sitting at home waiting for a flash point. They actively went out in the community and stirred up suport for the opposition. We need to be more aggressive in our efforts and not limit ourselves to being internet-only commandos.

I agree. 2010 is like a last hope -- and I'm pessimistic about the election outcome. If the Democrats retain power afterward, then voting, free speech, and public demonstrations will all have been shown to be a waste of time.

And other means will be indicated.

There’s been some speculation that the 2 trillion has gone into buying fortune 500 stocks.

A really good read. I for one am trying to look into why people are reacting this way to Obama or other leaders in the world who think like him and it may be something to consider when we attack the beliefs that lead them to follow.

1. A lot of people really do believe in Man made Global warming
2. We are in a financial crisis and people are looking for someone to save their bacon.
3. We are at war with radical Islam bit most people are scared of that idea so they want someone to tell them otherwise and that they can fix the problem.
4 Most people have little or no idea how to critically think and so are sucked in by sob stories and so become pro-gay, pro-choice etc rather than thinking about the consequences of their support for these things.

If I was in these people's shoes I would be sh#t scared too. Thankfully I have learned to think a little more critically and am not sucked in by the media etc. Therefore I believe it is my job to help others see the flawed thinking and get them to crossover. I can't/won't attack people on all fronts so I am focusing totally on Climate change - if I can get them to see that as a fraud then hopefully they will open there eyes to other things.

I am no Politician or great thinker but if I and you, each of us, can change only a few people's minds then it will be a mighty achievement and may be enough to turn the tide.

Cheers

Mel

From what I’ve heard about Snopes, they’re in the Soros/Obama/Axelrod bag as well. Trust it not.

SNOPES:

Origins:   The Internet piece quoted above originally began circulating just after the U.S. presidential election of November 2008, and by March 2009 it had picked up an attribution crediting it to David Kaiser, a historian who has authored a number of books, including The Road to Dallas: The Assassination of John F. Kennedy. However, as Mr. Kaiser told us and notes in his blog, History Unfolding, he did not pen this piece:

The first two sentences, beginning, "For the past thirty years," were of course written by me; the rest of the email was not written by me. Its views are in many ways the opposite of my own.
This item has also been mistakenly attributed to Dr. Timothy L. Wood, an Assistant Professor of History at Southwest Baptist University. Like David Kaiser, Dr. Wood told us that he did not write the piece and pointed us to a blog entry disclaiming his authorship.

The original is also commonly attributed to Pamela Geller, having appeared in her Atlas Shrugs blog on 13 November 2008. However, Ms. Geller notes in her introductory statement that "I wish I had written it" and indicates it originated as a reader comment posted to yet another blog.

As far as we know, this piece began as a comment posted to Pat Dollard's blog in November 2008 by an author identified only as "TPS."

I don’t care who wrote it or who published it, it is true and it’s a warning. I’m passing it around.

...advocating gun control...

A historian should know that "gun control" was pretty much complete in the Weimar Republic and helped pave the way for Hitler. Once the state had a monopoly on violence the armed troopers abused that power and terrorized the populace. SS were expected to shoot those who verbally disagreed rather than dirty their hands in an arrest. Hitler was the result of gun control, not the cause.

I’ve seen a couple of cases which “Snopes” has gotten wrong; he’s not infallable.

I've noticed many similarities to the election of the communist Salvatore Allende in Chile in 1970. They ended up with Pinochet and a military coup. I suggest the State Run Media should especially take notice of the similarities here because they ended up being hunted down and shot in Chile.

I’m on board with you. At some point, some of us will have to risk taking the hit, much like our Founders did when faced with similar decisions.

My thoughts also, need to start looking at the big picture and questioning the direction.
