Todd English’s former fiancee was arrested and charged yesterday with assault and criminal possession of a weapon - a men’s watch - stemming from a September fight with the celebrity chef. Erica Wang turned herself in to New York City police at 8 a.m., five days after English filed an assault complaint against her.

My first thought upon reading this was up until about a month ago I had never heard of Todd English. I happened upon his television program one evening and decided to watch it. I thought he was a bit eccentric with his permanent smug smile and therefore became a bit of a giggle between my daughter and I. When I read that he had been a complete heel to his fiance, I was not surprised, but to have this young lady arrested for hitting him with his watch well, he is not just a heel, he is an emasculated one. What kind of man would do this? I guess a completely egotistical one who smooches his reflection in the mirror each day.
I see “blame the victim” is not just a male pastime.
