And I have an male acquaintance who at age 12 had an appendectomey and when it was over the surgeon looked around a bit and found two ovaries. He removed them and a vestigal uterus also.

Was this person able to have children as an adult? I wonder if perhaps the surgeon was premature in removing the ovaries... if that was their only route to having kids....
