Interesting. I know the grandson of the Indian doctor mentioned in the Virginia City pic.

[The “Spanish” flu that swept around the world in 1918 killing 675,000 people in the U.S. and an estimated 20–50 million people worldwide.]

There was an article in my newspaper - Texas - long ago about this and it was unbelievable. I tried to find it without success.

Obama is selling the Swine Few as a “may cause a terrible....” to pimp Obamacare

I believe all US flu deaths combined in 209are about 30%-40% less than the average US flu deaths/year by Oct 2008, etc.

It really killed a lot of people in my town back in 1918. It was almost like reading of Galveston in the 1900 hurricane.

People really suffered back then, no preventative vaccine, no storm warnings, etc.

There are a lot of young children dying from the swine flu. I did read that older people may be safer because their bodies have built up more defense to flues.

As to Obama, it's too soon for his major ‘takeover’ crisis.

I do a LOT of reading, going to ping you to a comment I made that you missed. I'm reading of so many doctors that are going to retire if this goes into effect.

Now they are really after the Insurance company's.

I'm still leery of the swine flu shot, probably because I don't trust Obama and them trying to force it on people. Why?

I read somewhere that people in NY City felt that cats were somehow to blame for the disease - and tens of thousands of cats were killed, dumped into the rivers, etc... during the early pandemic.

One study said 49% of physicians said they would quit practicing medicine if this was passed - there is already a huge shortage of GPs

Obama and dems in Congress want to go after insurance companies like they did GM, Chrysler, banks

Grab the assets of insurance companies - control insurance execs pay - Nationalize insurance companies

Lots of cash and power for Obama

I do believe that older doctors, who have made their money, WILL consider retiring.

When middle aged doctors say they are going to quit, I am dubious.

Remember all the Hollywood stars who were going to move to another country if Bush won?

I think they are making a threat they won’t fulfill. They worked too hard for their degrees and want to make money, even if it is less.
