I attribute my very high HDL to plenty of red wine.

I attribute my very high HDL to plenty of red wine. A liter a day keeps the doctor away. Same for me.

Red wine is the best medicine for the heart. I attribute my very high HDL to plenty of red wine. A liter a day keeps the doctor away. That depends on his heart condition. If it's blockage, then red wine can help. If it's heart failure then, alcohol can hurt. There are ways to get the benefits of red wine without the alcohol.

That’s generally true but each patient needs to be evaluated as a whole. Connery’s doctor has the whole (or nearly so) story and the red wine may be doing him more harm than good.
