YONKERS (WABC) -- One firefighter was killed and two others injured after they were forced to jump from a third alarm fire in a Yonkers house.
Firefighter Patrick Joyce, a 16 year veteran described as "fearless," was pronounced dead after leaping from the burning building.

Firefighters are so brave. They need our constant prayers for their protection.

It was probably an empty building, too. I don’t know why the boss sends his guys into empty buildings.

Actually, it was once a one-family house that became a five-family building. Residents said that there were people trapped on the third floor when there weren’t.
