Why is a race for Governor in Virginia important? A crushing defeat by Bob McDonnell would help send shock waves down the line of every moderate Democrat thinking about voting for Health Care Reform, what happens in this race (and in New Jersey) will have a huge impact.

Is there a difference in the polling methodology or has something happened in the last day or two to open things up from the margin or error to 14 points?

Creigh Deeds has run one of the dirtiest and most dishonest campaigns on record. Every time he runs one of those commercials with all the angry and ugly feminazis he wins another fraction of a point for McDonnell (who wrote a thesis while attending Pat Robertson's University)

It’s well and good to put a big red arrow by the results you like — and I’m certainly all over McDonnell beating Deeds.

But when I look at the aggregate of the polls I see maybe a 5% to 6% lead, nowhere near the 14% of the Survey USA thingie. Could it be an outlier?

>> Rasmussen has it at 51-42

That’s good news, pollwise.

Both PPP and SurveyUSA probably over estimate Dems and Reps respectively.

Rasmussen (linked above) puts it just about in the middle of that.

Yes and when that’s factored in to the RCP average, the margin will grow.

Do these pollsters adjust their forecasts to account for ACORN driven voter fraud?

This is great...but it sounds like a “push poll.”

I’d love to see Mr. Bob win!

A lot of newspapers have been coming out with editorials attacking Deeds for his dishonest advertisements.

He is running different types of ads in different places as well, and I think youtube makes that work less well.

In one of his typical false ads, Deeds attacked McDonnell for defending a power company rate increase (as attorney general) that Deeds VOTED FOR in the senate.

DEEDS also voted for several of the bills that the bitter old women attack McDonnell for in the pro-abortion ad.

We told you so. They did the dirty deed and it did not work for WaCompost. So will it be all over the country next year except in the NorthEaast and Wash State, Hawaii and Oregon.
