I agree. On the other hand, maybe we could say that if they serve grits there and put sugar in their iced tea, they’re southern. :)

We didn’t do grits in Logan or Oceana. The first time I had grits was in Tennesee. We did however have sweet tea.
i'm sure they come from many different places... most of the ones i've spoken with are from the midwest... in any case, i was sure i would find Reno on the list--before Las Vegas...
