That’s all he’s got. Judge on a talent show. Must be frustrating seeing some very talented people on their way up.

I have a tough time with these issues. On the one hand, I carry some disdain for the attention and positive spin jesters and elitists get for “overcoming” their demons (repeatedly) in general. On the other hand, I am a Christian and am obligated to hope for their blessings despite themselves.

I would like to be apathetic as everything in me says, “I don't care. They don't affect me and they bring it on themselves.” But that little voice reminds me, “It is not yours to judge the soul. Judge the behavior and wish no ill on your brother or your enemy.”

So I have a list of short prayers that I include now and then at the end. I can almost hear God laughing at me as a parent does when his two year old apologizes under distress. I am sincere but I am not sure if I sell it well enough.

So...here goes....God, please help this man and be with his family.
