Actually the US government anti-knife policy has started already. Through US Custom regulations they are trying to stop manufacture of many folding knives. Something about the easier to open ones but hey a bureaucrat has to start somewhere.

They're trying to forbid the importation of quick action knives, which the 2nd wouldn't stop, but which certainly could be challenged in the trade organizations. Not that I'm especially pleased with the concept of having to go to an international body to stop our domestic government from acting like idiots...
