It opened in July and for $14,000 offers a 45-day program intended to help people wean themselves from pathological computer use...
Do they offer an online, lower-cost alternative program?

Have they beaten any patients to death yet?
In the internet addiction treatment racket there are established industry standards that must be maintained.

There’s a bigger picture to this little story: Every behaviorism now is seen as a “disorder” that must be treated. People believe they have no control over themselves. They need to pay other people to tell them what to do.
This little story actually explains the last election.

Alexander is so far the only patient of the program, which uses a cold turkey approach. He spends his days in counseling and psychotherapy sessions, doing household chores, working on the grounds, going on outings, exercising and baking a mean batch of ginger cookies. I think they just sent him to his grandparents. Grandma talks to him for a while, and then tells him to take the garbage out and go get groceries. Pretty much the therapy I get from the wife when I won't get up from Empire Total War.

What is this nonsense about internet addiction? Some days I go a full six hours without logging on to FR.

I’m definitely gonna sign up - I just have a few more articles to read on FR and I’ll get right on that.
