I’m with rarestia on this one. The movie’s rah-rah patriotic and they don’t want it to be savaged by the usual PC, Amerikka-hating reviewers.

Paramount HAS shown it to an assortment of Fanboy internet reviewers AND shown it to a military audience at Andrews AFB.

Those audiences liked it and are setting the internet abuzz with word-of-mouth.

Sounds clever, if you ask me.

Keep in mind that the latest Transformers movie got one-star reviews from many big critics because of its political incorrectness. Transformers went on to make 388M because viewers didn't care what the critics said. They may want to avoid this effect and have the film depend on word of mouth rather than reviews.
