FORUM STATUS UPDATE 12 SEPTEMBER 2009
At the moment, roughly half of the top sites are down, and half are up. Why that is the case is a mystery to me.
as-Ansar (Arabic): Down - “Under reconstruction”
al-Ekhlaas: Up
al-Faloja: Down - “Suspended”
al-Hanein: Up
al-Ma’ark: Down - “Suspended”
al-Medad: Up
al-Mujahideen: Up
Ana al-Muslm: Up
al-Shmokh: Down - They ask for your prayers as they try and restore the site (which appears to have been deleted from their server).
el-Shouraa: Down - unreachable, no DNS
at-Tahaddi: Up

“WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT, ALFIE?”
SNIPPET: “Congressional Quarterly is currently trying to figure out what Internet Haganah is. I gave them my best shot at an honest, complete, and direct answer, but I’m not sure they quite get it. For the rest of you:”
INTERNET-HAGANAH.com: "IT'S AS GOOD AN IDEA AS ANY..." (SNIPPET: "...just keep in mind that the first, second, and third ranked people are all together on the same small set of websites - the article implies that everyone online is a wannabe, and that is demonstrably false.") (November 2, 2009)

Note: it’s not just you - of the sites in our current Top Ten list, 6 are down, and two (Hanein and Ana al-Muslm) should really be removed from the list. That leaves at-Tahaddi and Majahden as the only active jihadi forums as of 2010-02-28 20:15 Z.
PS: The al-Luyuth al-Islamiyyah forum is also available, but not very active - you’ll find it here: http://www.leyoth.info/vb/

SNIPPET: “1. The scorekeeper reports the following...
Faloja: down Ansar: down Ma’ark: down Medad: down
Global jihad online? What global jihad online? If I had to speculate, I would reckon that Jordan found the posthumous insults of Abu Dujanah al-Khorasani to be intolerable and so they cashed in a few chips. International cooperation is a beautiful thing when it works.
2. The rest is commentary...
The following represent the jihadi community’s response to the disappearance of Faloja and other significant forums, in as much as there is anything left online that constitutes a jihadi community...”
