wagglebee just reminded me that it might be nice to include his name so folks could be specific in their prayers. I wasn't thinking. His name is Al and his wife's name is Lauren...and the little baby, if a boy, will be Levi. :-)
(Don't know a girl's name, yet.)

Al also told me that he will be on an extended medical leave till he gets settled in his treatment. He is pretty sure he won't be going back to the GW, however. All their stuff is still in the apartment on base in Yokosuka.

We cry out to You on behalf of Your son, Al, and his wife, Lauren, petitioning You for the healing that only You can provide. We bless Your Holy Name and praise You for Your love for Your children and for Your steadfast watchcare over them. We know that Jesus Christ already paid the price for this disease on the cross. We confess that You hold this family in Your loving arms and that You will see them safely through this trial. Thank You, Father, for Al’s healing and for the safe arrival of the baby. You are the Holy One-—ever faithful-—ever present. Blessed are You, O God! In the powerful Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
