That’s VERY good news! PRAISE GOD!
Will keep him in my prayers — and you as well. :)

Oops - actually - I think I got a little mixed up...

I'm back from California now. Got back Friday, but spent all day Saturday at a volleyball tournament. I've been to alot of volleyball over the years, but Saturday was the longest day I've ever spent.

Anyway - Al is in the home stretch of his first round of the "real" chemotherapy. The first round was "A" round and it was "baby chemo" compared to what he got this time. This is "B" round and the next one is "C" round. He'll alternate "B" and "C" for 5-6 day periods every 3 weeks till right before Christmas. So far, so good. He hasn't felt the huge fatigue or nausea, yet, that many folks get from it. I'm praying he takes it all very well and maybe it won't make him too extra sick.

The drugs they are giving him have names that sound like cleaning solvents. yuck

BTW - the Naval Medical Center at SD is awesome. It is a state-of-the-art facility and he has a civilian oncologist. I'm very pleased at the care he is getting.

We sent his little 5-speed Chevy S-10 pickup out to San Diego. Even though he lived in San Diego for most of his childhood, he doesn't know his way around town much. I'm going to buy him a Garmin GPS to help him maneuver his way around town so he won't have to worry about that PLUS all the gear changes in that hilly town.

That’s great news, babyfreep! Giving praise and thanks for that. Praying that he will receive the exact treatments needed to rid his body completely of this disease, and that he is successfully restored to good health.

Continued prayers for his wife and the little one on the way. Prayers for a good and safe trip for you. God bless.

That's ok, BG. Maybe God won't mind that we doubled down on prayers for a good cause. : )

That made me chuckle! But all joking aside, I'm sure you're happy about the good news!

Will continue prayers for a speedy recovery.

I’m glad to hear that things are going well (or, as well as can be expected under the circumstances).

Please know that my prayers continue.

Just saw this and please know my prayers are with your entire family. You son sounds like a real “Trooper” LOL. May God be with them all and watch over them. I will keep him in my prayers.
