Sound familiar?
But seriously ot may be good that Romney is polling well and is seen as a front runner. As a Palin supporter I don’t want her to take all the fire. She’s in the perfect position with yesterday’s polling. If she was way ahead of the field like say by 20 points, who knows how much more violent the attacks could be. It will also make for a healthy primary.
Palin 2012
I don’t understand how Romney is polling so well considering the state of health care in Mass.
A lot of southern democrats are more conservative than northern republicans. He is definitely in this bunch.
Powell would never run against his buddy 0bama.
Romney should pick Kay Bailey Hutchison for is running mate.
She’s going to be out of a job soon.
They're both halves alright; both 'Half Assed'
It’s true he’s too comfortable with a lot of socialist programs for any real conservative’s taste. But unfortunately, so is most the country, so anyone who’s even remotely electable will be too comfortable with socialist programs for our taste. When conservatives refuse to support or vote for an electable candidate, it just ends up handing elections to far-left candidates like Obama.
AND, rightfully so!!
“I like Romney...the hatred of him by some conservatives appears to be over the top...I sense some underlying anti-mormon bigotry”
I do not hate Romney ( I voted for him in the NJ primary against McCain ), and in general I like Mormons. But I do think that Romney is a slick synthetic phony who would say anything to get elected. He is a capable manager, and would be a big improvement over Obama. But then I also think Joe Biden would be an improvement over Obama. Biden for POTUS in 2009!
Let's see how the country feels in about February/March 2011!!
“I see a lot of positives in Romney (especially compared to Obama)......”
Honestly, Obama makes EVERY GOP candidate look good to me. They get better with every beer. I’ll need to be careful with that :)
Really? That's the first time I've heard that joke.
There's plenty of that around, but it's usually confined to the "Religion Forum."
I'm a Mormon, and I do not care for Romney: too phoney, too eager to please everyone, too squishy.
Lord help us.
I already used that line in my original post.
Heh. Funny.
You ARE joking...RIght?
My feelings exactly. He'd be a good Commerce Secretary or an "economic turnaround czar," perhaps, but not a good president.
“He is a capable manager, and would be a big improvement over Obama. But then I also think Joe Biden would be an improvement over Obama. Biden for POTUS in 2009!”
LOL!! It would even be funnier if it wasn’t true.
We thought you meant anti-perfecthair bigotry.
