Meet the real Walter Cronkite 'Most trusted' newsman pushed radical agenda pushes radical agenda

In 1989, Cronkite spoke to a dinner organized by People for the American Way...

In 1999, he appeared at the United Nations to accept the Norman Cousins Global Governance Award from the World Federalists Association. He told those assembled, including Hillary Rodham Clinton, that the first step toward achieving a one-world government – his personal dream – is to strengthen the United Nations...as a first step toward a world government patterned after our own government with a legislature, executive and judiciary, and police to enforce its international laws and keep the peace," he said. "To do that, of course, we Americans will have to yield up some of our sovereignty... "

In his acceptance speech, Cronkite added, "Pat Robertson has written in a book a few years ago that we should have a world government, but only when the Messiah arrives. He wrote, literally, any attempt to achieve world order before that time must be the work of the devil. Well, join me. I'm glad to sit here at the right hand of Satan."

Later, in an interview with the BBC, Cronkite described this new order as something that sounded like a militaristic world dictatorship.

"I wouldn't give up on the U.N. yet," he said. "I think we are realizing that we are going to have to have an international rule of law. We need not only an executive to make international law, but we need the military forces to enforce that law and the judicial system to bring the criminals to justice before they have the opportunity to build military forces that use these horrid weapons that rogue nations and movements can get hold of – germs and atomic weapons."

Old walter didn't care about the thousands of deaths he caused, perhaps millions since everyone seems to think his influence was immense (and millions were slaughtered in the Cambodian killing fields, not to mention the S. Vietnamese and Americans ) but he did CARE about One World Government and he DID not care about God. He was a confirmed atheist. And it showed. So sitting by the DEVIL, as he remarks about above in regards to Pat's words, has NO MEANING to old Walter.

Perhaps those words mean something to him now, however.

Although he certainly didn't believe in hell...or in God...he's currently setting up shop in the deepest, hottest part of hell.

Enjoy yourself,Walt....you've earned it.

That old windbag is gone and so is the plutocracy that the MSM once enjoyed on the flow of news. The internet has freed us from the ABC/CBS/NBC/PBS filter of what news is and what it means.

Goodbye Walter, no thinking person will miss you.

"I wouldn't give up on the U.N. yet," he said. "I think we are realizing that we are going to have to have an international rule of law. It's amazing that most people are unaware of the true nature of this "smiling 'undertaker' grandfather figure."

His delusion was no different than that of Marx, or Lenin or even Hitler, assembling the tools for a new society, ruled by --- what?
Force.
All have uniformly failed; simple bricklayers on the road of good intentions. The only unfortunate result is that we must deal with the destination here on earth.

How does one "...enforce that law and the judicial system to bring the criminals to justice..." without the use of force? By sacrificing other peoples' lives of course, none of which are criminal.

This do-gooder was never in a position to do overt damage, but he did his part to enable the 'do-gooders' we are experiencing today.

This guy was worse than merely bad. He created a permanent illusion of 'good,' where his only ability was ignorance of human nature and history.

But he sounded great!

Agreed but when Walter was "working" all of your other choices looked and sounded like Brokaw. Now we have lots of other choices.

I was actually surprised to learn a few years ago that there still were a few people who tuned in for the evening "news" on the MSN.

I simply can't imagine doing that anymore.

I'm glad to sit here at the right hand of Satan

I didn't believe the most trusted man in America would say this (sarcasm over) but a quick Google search found ol' Walt talking about his idea of the new world order:

About 6:50 into this drivel he's thankful for sitting on the right hand of Satan. Most likely he's sitting there right now...
