Connecticut Seeks Hedge Fund Regulation

What's interesting is that Connecticut, a state that has for the past three years failed to have passed legislation providing greater transparency in government finances is now calling for more transparency in the private sector.

Considering all of the vacancies in Greenwich these days, why would CT chose to kill one of the few money-producing industries it still has? Who will pay the salaries of CT government workers once the Hedgies move to Delaware?
