Happy Caturday Everyone

I am still into "project house"..and I read and enjoy even though I am
not posting.
Thanks for the heads up on Rus's appearance. I am so happy I
didn't miss it!... Good job, Rus!
I am cleaning out the garage closet to get more into it..at 3am and
later..when it cools down to 80.
Sleeping when it is 105 seems like a good plan right now..
Working hard is helping me deal with the fact the Congress has just
voted for disaster for us all.
I don't talk about what is happening to this nation because I can't
express my sorrow and horror properly.
May God help us save our country.
Thank you, Rus, Amy, MamaBear and all who are trying to stop this
runaway train heading right at us.

Top of the morning to you, Ms Meg. I need to do some cleaning out in my garage and I may try your strategy of working at 4 AM when it’s cooler.

Well, my Democrat Rep voted right on Cap & Tax. Too bad some RINOs didn’t.

Griffith Votes No On Energy Bill
6/26/2009
WASHINGTON – Congressman Parker Griffith released the following statement today regarding his no vote on H.R. 2454, the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009:

“I voted no because this bill is not in the best interest of North Alabama,” Griffith said. “I am concerned about the negative impact this legislation would have on our economy, the state of Alabama and our nation. We all agree that we need to take measures to make our nation more energy independent, but this bill does that the wrong way and would end up raising rates and imposing unacceptable new taxes on the companies that power the Tennessee Valley. During these economically challenging times, we simply cannot let this happen. Everyone can agree on the long term goals of greener energy, but there is a cheaper and better way to do this without burdening Alabama consumers.

“Under this bill, power companies in Alabama would be required to generate a certain percentage of the electricity they sell from a rigid definition of ‘renewable’ resources included in this legislation. Unfortunately nuclear power and existing hydroelectricity – two resources from which Alabama benefits greatly – are not included in this definition. This legislation would cripple Alabama utilities with high and swift taxes, forcing them to choose between going out of business or passing the cost onto Tennessee Valley consumers.

“We should be focused on creating new jobs and keeping the jobs we have now, but this bill would have the opposite effect and make us less competitive as a region and as a nation. I support the development of renewable energy to make us more energy independent, but unfortunately this bill tries to accomplish these goals in all the wrong ways.”

Happy Caturday! Is there anyone near MEG who can intervene and stop her hyperactive cleaning spree? I think the heat is getting to her.
