Actor Craig T. Nelson Decries Govt Bailouts, Wasteful Spending

On Thursday's Beck program on FNC, actor Craig T. Nelson complained about excessive taxation and spending by the California state government, as well as the federal government, as he suggested that people should stop paying taxes to protest the government's handling of their money. Nelson: "If my children, my grandchildren, and my great grandchild who is about to be here, is not going to be educated properly, then I'm through with it, you know. I'm not going to spend money on these things that you're asking me to. Look, they should be allowed to go bankrupt. What happened to, we are a capitalistic society. Okay, I go into business, I don't make it, I go bankrupt. They're not going to bail me out."

There’s a couple in Hollyweird.

They call themselves “Friends of Abe”; from actors down to the riggers and everything in between. Gary Sinise has talked about that a bit. Of course he’s out, but he’s keeping others identities to himself to protect their jobs.

Sadly most of us do not have the resources to fight off the legal onslaught that would befall us should we choose to ignore paying taxes. Perhaps a better approach would be to simply move to states that impose less or no income tax instead?

California just seems like such a lost cause at this point.

In connection with that show, I sent Glenn the following email:

Dear Glenn,
On the show today you posed the question re. what would “they” do should 1 million citizens refuse to pay their income taxes?

Glenn, since the 60s we have had a totally UNBACKED, FIAT “MONEY” system. This explains in part why most of “them” no longer listen to us beyond coming home every election cycle to lie about their records for the purpose of reelection. “They” DON’T NEED US or OUR “MONEY.” “They” can SIMPLY PRINT WHATEVER “THEY” NEED FOR WHATEVER PURPOSES “THEY” WISH.

The income tax is simply a mechanism for taxing the increasingly worthless “money” out of circulation — vacuuming the system, if you will — so WE DON’T CATCH ON TO THE SCAM. That was precisely why we got the income tax at the same time “they” established the ongoing criminal enterprise known as the UNAUDITED Federal Reserve. There had to be a mechanism for sucking the extra “money” from our bank accounts.

Of course, printing all those new “dollars” will reduce or destroy the value of the “dollars” already out here. And, as you know, that is the classic and correct definition of “INFLATION.” But inflation hurts us all, say you. Nay, nay mon ami! The folks first in line for the new “dollars” (that’s almost always the well-connected and those in government) are NOT hurt much or at all compared to those at the end of the line (that’d be the rest of us). You see, those at the head of the line have the opportunity to turn those “dollars” into tangible things BEFORE they lose their value.

Measured against the value of the dollar in 1913 (when we got the income tax and Fed), I believe the current “dollar” is now worth around 1 cent or less.

We can only GUESS what the flood of new “money” now making its way into this sick, sick economy will do to that penny in the next few years but I’d urge everyone to convert as many of them as they can spare into things they need of tangible value such as storable food, some precious metals, weapons, ammo (if you can FIND any!), etc.

Buckle up. It’s going to be very, very bumpy on the Obama FREEway.

Dick Bachert
PS: I’m as certain as I can be that you already knew this.

I’ve never before heard of Craig T. Nelson making any type of political statements, or even of supporting any candidate. Is this just new with him, because of 0bama’s wasteful spending?

The following day (yesterday) Glenn hosted a former IRS Commissioner who warned of the dire consequences for “non-compliance.” He sputtered a bit when Glenn asked him about the dire consequences that people like Tim Geithner, Charles Wrangel and Tom Daschle seemed to face for their “non-compliance.”

Liked him in "Call to Glory", "Coach" and "The Incredibles".
Even in "All the Right Moves".

Can't think of something I've seen that I didn't like (unless it was so bad, it was canceled before I got to it).

I know a few of the Hollywood folks who call themselves closeted Republicans. It’s sad but true that they may be blacklisted for their beliefs.

I remember “Call to Glory”, too. Great show. Didn’t Cindy Pickett play his wife? Here’s a trivia question for you—who played his daughter on that show?

I’ve never before heard of Craig T. Nelson making any type of political statements

I've heard him endorsing such stuff as "global warming" and other party-line politically-correct nonsense peddled by Streisand-type Hollywood liberals. The old saying about a conservative being a liberal who's been mugged may apply if he's suddenly realizing how liberalism is impacting his own finances.

As I watched that I kept thinking "what would "they" do if 100 million citizens refused to pay their income taxes?"

Dude. I had a major crush on her from before that!
Elisabeth Shue from Karate Kid and Adventures in Babysitting, from before her brother became the famous one, (for a while).
