Groom drinks too much at wedding, dies

TAIPEI (Reuters) – A Taiwanese groom died on his wedding day after having too much wine and beer to drink, police and local media said Monday.

The man, 35, an insurance company worker surnamed Wu passed out at home after drinking too much Saturday at a high-end restaurant in Taipei among more than 100 wedding guests, the Liberty Times reported.

They didn't say how much he drunk. My limit was 15 schooners before I passed out. (Thats's 15oz. per glass.)

Used to have a Chinese friend whose face would always get very flushed when he had a couple. I asked him about it and he told me that was the way with the Chinese, that it was just the way their bodies reacted to alcohol. I wonder if this had something to do with it.
