Visitors to Michigan's largest city received yet another reminder Thursday of Ohio State's dominance in college football's greatest rivalry.
An Ohio State fan purchased a billboard in downtown Detroit that commemorates the 2,000th day since Michigan's last victory in the Ohio State-Michigan series. The maize-and-blue billboard, seen here on The Columbus Dispatch's Web site, mockingly celebrates the milestone for Michigan.

I thought about our resident Buckeye fans when I read this.

How about a billboard in Columbus celebrating the 10 year anniversary of any OSU football player graduating with a degree other than General Studies? It’s all about the U!

You mean like this guy (QB in 2001-2004): “Krenzel graduated from Ohio State with a degree in molecular genetics.” From wiki. LOL.

A billboard in downtown Detroit? And who is going to read it? The sign people were lucky they weren't shot, but then again, who can read it.

I admit I got a chuckle (was raised by Buckeyes but live in CA). Still, the very classiEST thing to do, when you’re winning, is to act like it’s no big thing. Of COURSE we’re winning — no reason to go buy billboard space over something that should be so expected, right? It looks like OSU is a little TOO surprised at beating UM lately.

I remember walking through the campus after leaving Ohio Stadium after the 1972 OSU-Mich game. A banner hung out of one of the student tower dorms. There were just two words. The second was Michigan. The Bucks had just won the game. GO BUCKS.

2000? That's it?
By their next meeting on Oct. 24 this year, the Oregon Ducks will have owned the Washington Huskies for 2184 days.
That'd be:
5 years, 11 months, 23 days excluding the end date;
188,697,600 seconds;
3,144,960 minutes;
52,416 hours; or
312 weeks.
But who's counting?
