A good trading maxim I made for myself over 10 years ago when invested in gold stocks:
“When the geologist of a successful gold strike falls to his death out of a helicopter, sell your gold stocks”
I think the same applies here.
“When the CFO of a huge financial company offs himself, sell financials immediately “
Not exactly a good portent, is it? No matter how it shakes out.
I'm not sure this wasn't one of those "Vince Foster" style suicides.... not that it wouldn't lead to the same conclusion on the investment.
