Can only be done by the states as in passing an amendment.

Good luck! It will have to pass both the House and Senate with a 2/3’rds majority and then be ratified by 3/4’ths of the states.

The Republicans pushed the 22nd through to get back at FDR and the only thing they accomplished was to deny us a third term for President Reagan.

Whatever. The only way Obama or anyone will serve more than 8 years is when the Constitution is replaced.
Need 2/3 states approval for ammendment.
Not gonna happen.

I'd bet that if one were to do a little research (which I am not going to do because I do not care enough about it), one would find that some crack-pot member of the
House of Reprehensibles from one party or the other (depending upon who is president) introduces something like this almost every year. It most likley gets shot down or ignored, and is then filed away in the Dead Legislation Office until some other crack-pot (or possibly the SAME crack-pot) reintroduces it in the next session.
But that's just a guess.

The same bill has been introduced in every Congress for the past 20+ years. It has never made it out of committee. And even if it did, it has the hurdle of passing 3/4 of the states. In other words, ain’t happening, so stop worrying.

We need term limits across the board and these fools want to get rid of them. I know, voting them out is supposed to be the limit, but look at the incumbents getting in again, and it ain’t working.
