Vice President Biden said the White House has been working “around the clock” on the piracy situation off the Somali coast.
“We’re not going to settle that here,” Biden acknowledged when asked after a photo-op on the stimulus plan what the U.S. is doing about the pirates.
“I think what you should do is contact Jim Jones and the White House,” Biden suggested, even as an aide tried to discourage him from answering the question and usher pool out of the room. “This is being worked on around the clock since this happened. I’m not in a position right now” to comment.
The vice president’s office invited reporters into his weekly meeting with Cabinet and administration officials about the implementation of stimulus funds to announce new public health programs.
Biden said the administration was making $2 billion available for a child support program that includes vouchers for day care centers, and $300 million for the purchase and distribution of vaccines.
The whole administration stupidity is outstanding and it’s not quite three months ....
He doesn’t want to appear as a evil American white man in front of his UN and European Socialist supporters.
