On March 25, 2009, the International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement organized a march in support of Lovelle Mixon, an Oakland, California resident who killed four Oakland police officers after a routine traffic stop and had previously been linked via DNA to the rape of a 12 year old girl.

I live in a small town in NC, we had a riot here about 3 weeks ago. It started as a fight at the public basketball courts and soon grew to over 250. The police chief has admitted in the local paper it was gang related and that not enough arrests were made, because the police were outnumbered. He had even called in the sherrif’s dept and that was not enough. I fear it will be a long hot summer.
BTW. the admission of gangs was a biggie, some of the citizens have known it for years but the city officials denied they were here.
I’d just let it be known that out of sensitivity there will no longer be a police presence in the “African Community”, while the police presence will increased in other communities accordingly.
We have gangs here in the bay area,what is going on now is mob mentality,the uhuru movement is riling up all the anger they can muster..
It will be over in a couple of days,but the anger will stay amongst these people,until someone can bring it to the surface again.
They blame it on the whitey not the government,and they will all vote for the democrats again.

What should happen, and I know that many here wouldn’t like this idea because it would be, God forbid, “editorializing”, is a two sentence note somewhere in the paper stating that “A few dozen fringe cretins march in Oakland in support of the cop murderer”, and not a word more.
