Business holds their employees and spokespersons to a MUCH higher standard then the public holds their politicians.

More hypocrisy from those “wacky, knuckleheaded” commies! May as well say it...”if these were conservatives caught ‘stealing’ Korn Flakes from the very mouths of the hungry and impoverished...”

"YEAH, but THESE are COLLECTIBLE corn flakes!!!"

While the elected crook in Washingron, who are caught red handed, waltz away as arrogant ever without so much as a slap on the wrist.

That's probably not all they keep either. I thought they were supposed to feed the hungry but I guess having a celebrity 'souvenir' comes first.

My hippy roommate in college was a volunteer at the local foodback.

Bulk munchies! It sure beat spending money at the supermarket!

“...I don’t understand the controversy, I mean if Obama admits to doing coke, and he’s elected president, why the hell would anyone care if a twenty-something swimmer and Frosted Flakes spokesman took a bong-hit?”

If Obama got caught smoking weed now it would be a way bigger scandal than this Phelps thing. That any male in his late forties has used illegal drugs in the past is no surprise. I'm pretty familiar with the government's drug use statistics and according to them most people that age have used illegal drugs. They were in their prime partying years in the late Seventies and early Eighties when drug use peaked in this country. I would not be surprised to learn that most politicians around his age have used drugs in the past, especially the male politicians because males are more likely than females to have used drugs. Of course few people that age still do drugs. If Obama or any national figure in politics his age got caught now, it would be a big deal. It would be a really big deal if Obama got caught, but it is probably true that Democrats wouldn't care nearly as much as Republicans.
