What is Obamism?

WHAT IS OBAMISM?

Observers have suggested that Obama's political agenda is socialist or communist. Is it really? Or what is it, actually?

I would submit that his agenda could be described as "globalist entitlement."

The core politics of his program for America are designed to entrench the power and prestige of the educated classes, using the vague concept of collective rights of special interest groups as the foundation.

Although there may well be some desire to help people near the bottom of the socio-economic ladder, the real agenda is to help people who have a liberal education find extra work at better rates of pay.

There is almost no thought given to the real economy or how it functions.

Consider for example, the "green economy." How much of America's electrical power needs will actually be generated by wind power? As much as even three per cent? Not likely more. Yet a main plank of Obama's energy policy is the creation of wind farms across the nation, using the raw materials generated by subsidized industry that today hardly even exists. One can imagine that every $1,000 spent on this enterprise will generate somewhere between $1 and $10 in terms of disposable income. It would be better to hand out money to gamblers in Las Vegas casinos.

Then take the enshrinement of rights for illegal aliens. Every illegal alien given a free ride by the American government is going to end up costing some other taxpayer roughly the same amount of money. Helping illegal aliens will simply raise general taxes and place greater strains on health care, law enforcement and education.

Or consider the outreach to the Muslim world, encouraging American Muslims to seek further group rights down the road. This will merely postpone the day when a real settlement of global political problems will be sought and found. Encouraging the Muslim world can do nothing except stir up unrequited desires for "justice" that will then fuel terrorism.

Every program that Obama brings forward has probably the exact opposite effect of its advertised goals, but in terms of the real agenda, the activity is rational, because it provides work for university graduates, especially those trained to do nothing useful and therefore otherwise unemployable.

This mirrors communism and might as well be called that.

However, it is something slightly different, and needs to be opposed for what it is -- the grand entitlement of everyone who is non-productive, and the further employment of those who preach the state's new official religion, political correctness.

The American constitution will come to mean less and less to the Obamists. They pretty much decided to ignore it by avoiding any scrutiny of Obama's real circumstances of birth. They plan major assaults on the First and Second amendments, through the "fairness doctrine" and the programs to cut back on gun ownership.

There is no telling what more is about to be revealed about Obamism. A fairly good guide to it would be a visit to Canada. If you want your health care socialized and slowed down to a crawl, if you want human rights commissions and tribunals telling you what to say and think, if you wish to have a subsidized media who are all on the same side as the President (in our case, it is the opposition), then by all means, support and endorse Obama and Obamism.

We've been there and done that in Canada. And as a result, we are the world's only voluntary communist society. That's what awaits America if Obama is not removed from power as early and as decisively as possible.

Just thought you might like to know where fairness is taking you.

Shovel ready projects.

Alternative energy.

Nuclear disaster.

We’re going to be Bartertown.

I might be overreacting.

I think the “stimulus package” would have had a much better chance of success if we had just taken $1T to a roulette wheel.

"The educated classes" isn't quite the right term ... there are plenty of educated people who will shun Obamunism as best they can. The educrats?

Socialism/communism in it's purest form.

Not education. Schooling, maybe.

But don’t call them “educated”. They’re pseudo-intellectuals producing nothing and mouthing the same tired phrases they learned to bleat while holding their hands out for the next government grant.
