Nancy Pelosi's daughter turns camera on McCain supporters

...

Alexandra Pelosi, the filmmaker daughter of U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi,... attended many such events to make a film about the people who attended, those who fought against a Barack Obama presidency.

"Right America, Feeling Wronged," debuts Monday on HBO.

...

For all the talk about the historic nature of Obama's victory, there were still millions of Americans who weren't ready for that kind of change, weren't ready for a black president, she said.

... Campaigns are tough and the rallies bring out the true believers. There was plenty of nastiness on the other side, such as people at Obama rallies who called Bush a terrorist, or the woman selling buttons outside her Manhattan home depicting Sarah Palin with devil's horns.

The film's chief value lies in illustrating the moment of time. It's one thing to assume racism or ignorance is still alive and played a role in how some people voted, quite another to see how Pelosi found it and stuck a camera in its face. Still, there was enough concern about how this would be taken that HBO and Pelosi made a last-minute change to a printed introduction to the film.

...

... "I would imagine that a lot of Republicans are going to be skeptical and concerned that a documentary like this portrays them as everything that they fear the media wants to believe - that they're racist rednecks who are uneducated," said Karen Hanretty, an activist and former spokeswoman for the Republican Congressional Campaign Committee.

Excellent point of logic, a trait totally dismissed by O supporters.

I honestly believe that many Obama supporters are incapable of logic.

It is not that many Americans “did not want” a black President, it is that this is the ideologically WRONG black President.

He has scarcely launched his regime, and already it is becoming a shipwreck. He cannot find reliable people to put on his Cabinet, and the only “victory” so far has been almost entirely a partisan effort, with virtually NO outreach to the “other side of the aisle”. He does not WANT to compromise in any way on his doctrinaire rule of the US (to rule is not the same as to govern). There is some question whether his victory, and the placement of so many people at high places in government, are even legitimate. The Constitution is being routinely overlooked, and its provisions are not even honored by lip service.

Did we elect another Hugo Chavez to the US Presidency?

That old canard again. No one on the right likes a black man being the president. Riiiiiiighhhhttttttttt.

Let me make it easy for you, missy. Walter Williams could be dictator for life of this country, and I'd be just fine with that. There would be 535 less fools in charge of things, which is all to the good.

And Obama could shine his shoes.

Yella Dog Dems are the culprit here, not Repubs. These are the ones still holding a grudge against the Radical Republicans at the end of Civil War, and during Reconstruction, who ramsacked and exploited the South.

Obama was the racist’s choice.
Judged by the color of his skin, not the content of his character.

Amazing since ‘Journeys with George’ was pretty good. GWB even took her under his wing, counseling her on matters of the heart.

You can start with this Wikipedia article and google search from there.

The skinny: Muslims were enslaving black Africans before the corpse of their pedophile prophet was even cold and probably before.

Europeans didn't even get the idea until the Portuguese started exploring Africa in the 15th century and were introduced to this sorry practice by Muslims.

If you read the entire article she attempts to emphasize how fair she has been, just Repubs really are that stupid, racist, etc. I suspect she is trying to redeem herself in this new liberal administration, where her mother is calling all the shots, from the heresy of “Journeys with George”.

I recall Hillary supporters during the primaries making very racist remarks about The One, so unfortunately there are racist on both sides.

It’s somewhat intellectually dishonest to blame the institution of race-based slavery of blacks on Muslims.

Islam has always been in favor of non-discriminatory slavery. Muslims enslaved people of all colors, raiding European ships and coastlines and into southeastern Europe well into the 18th century.

Muslims stopped enslaving white Europeans simply because Europe became too powerful and slave raids became unprofitable and dangerous. They (mostly) stopped enslaving black Africans because the powerful white Europeans forced them to, in an outrageous example of disrespect for the cultural traditions of the Other.

Typical intellectually laziness...I'm not ready for a Marxist president. I don't give a flying fornication if he's black. Unless only blacks can be Marxists...

there were still millions of Americans who weren't ready for that kind of change, weren't ready for a black president, she said.

and here i thought we were supposed to not be racist.

i have no desire for a black president... i have no problem with a president that happens to be black.

there is a difference.

one is consumed by black racism and the other transcends racism and works for the betterment of the country. the latter could be white, black, red, yellow or polka dot... and i would still vote for him/her/it

“Change” has been elevated to something it is not. “Change” under Obama has been associated with the concept of a destination, an endpoint or result. Change is descriptive of a process that generates different results. They can be good or bad, in this case bad, very bad.

They will call him a “Tom”.

This kind of racism is permissible to the DemonRATs, because their paradigm is that all Republicans, regardless of ancestry, are either racists or traitors to their own race.

And the DemonRAT paradigm is the one that will get 99% of the air time and print space.

Jeremiah Wright is a black preacher, while TD Jakes is a preacher that happens to be black. Wright preaches black separatism, he preaches “black”.
