Caught in the chaos
The Houston Chronicle ^ | February 8, 2009 | Lise Olsen

Posted on 02/08/2009 6:57:57 AM PST by Scanian

22-year-old man from Houston and his 16-year-old friend are hauled out of a minivan in Mexico, shot execution style by thugs in a black Lincoln Continental, and left dead in the dirt.

The body of a 65-year-old nurse from Brownsville is found floating in the Rio Grande after a visit to a Mexican beauty salon.

An American retiree, an ex-Marine, is stabbed to death as he camps on a Baja beach with his dog.

More than 200 U.S. citizens have been slain in Mexico’s escalating wave of violence since 2004 — an average of nearly one killing a week, according to a Houston Chronicle investigation into the deaths.

Rarely are the killers captured.

So sad. When the kids were little we would cross over into Reynosa for a day of cheap shopping (usually for cheaply made products) and good food. Those days are long gone.

Far Far beyond sad! These attacks on innocent Americans, coupled with illegal immigration, the drug traffic that has killed, wounded, and damaged for life, countless thousands of Americans, and a host of lesser crimes against humanity totally overlooked by the moron in chief dedicating his important time and position to killing the American economy, is all worthy of our best efforts to end it now, not later.

RE: "you don’t have to go to mexico anymore to be killed by a mexican!"

"Have hate, will travel."

Congressman Steve King of Iowa reports that 12 Americans are murdered every day by illegal aliens.

Everyone who uses illegal drugs is personally responsible for this in the U.S. and Canada. And other countries.

My friends are frequent travlers to Cabo, are there any problems there?

I have never said anything because I would just get an eye roll from them but I have zero desire to travel outside the US these days.

“More than 200 U.S. citizens killed in Mexico since ‘04 “

That doesn’t count the ‘missing’ ones, the ones that disappeared after kidnappings. Nor does it talk about the 25 Americans per day killed by illegal aliens in our own country.

“The FBI reports 75 open cases involving kidnappings of Americans in Mexico from Texas to California. The McAllen FBI office, which is responsible for the area from Brownsville to Del Rio, reports 35 Americans have gone missing since 2003.”

Too bad the DamRat party sees these felons as their next best crop of voters. Don’t be surprised if in the next 2-3 years illegal immigrants will be eligible to vote - legally.

Cancun & Puerto Vallarta were reporting cartel murders in an article this week.

There is is this also.

Mexico sends more police to airport after assaults

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/headline/world/6251845.html

MEXICO CITY — Mexico has assigned 100 more federal police officers to the capital’s airport following a series of assaults on travelers who exchanged money.

Five of the victims have been foreigners, including a French scientist who was killed.

Prosecutors say at least 18 people who were recently robbed outside the airport were apparently followed after exchanging money inside.

The French scientist was shot in the head last month after assailants intercepted his car and stole 4,800 euros ($6,336).

Fregoso’s announcement Saturday came a day after a Colombian man became the 18th reported victim.[snip]

Spankly Freaking, I am not going to be surprised anymore ever. I was surprised almost daily during the Clinton administration. What we have witnessed during the first few days of the Obamalamadingdong administration has left me surpriseless. Hope has fled change is not, and I was fully aware of what was coming.

I could be surprised if it was all a dream. I think I’m dreaming.

I've noticed that you do great work on this issue and bring a lot of information to Free Republic. I just wish the MSM would focus more on this issue too.

Glenn Beck is bringing some attention to it now too. It's appreciated and it's about time!

Thanks!
